Abstract:
Collaboration is not fixed but is full of potential. It is inherently collective and participatory, and thrives on equity and adaptability. It can be an act of resistance, preventing decision-making and power from being concentrated in one person. Collaboration creates alternatives to existing hegemonic environments and systems. Through collaboration, we become individuals who rise together through co-creation.
WIP Collaborative is an experiment. As a flexible, shared practice within a network of women practitioners, it enables individuals to take on ambitious and inventive projects that would be less feasible for them to pursue on their own. As a work in progress, WIP aspires to foster a mutual reciprocity between the community and the collaborative, enabling a dynamic and continually evolving exchange of knowledge, experience and creative opportunity.
